EP.49 · Mrs. Grayson explains that James's body remains in their world while part of him has merged with the evil, so bringing him back means returning to the veil and severing that bond at its unchanging heart. She hands them a guide and warns the veil will fight harder now that it knows they are coming. Nina vows to get her brother back, but they learn destroying the veil alone will not free him, because his essence feeds it. The heirs resolve to find him anyway, and the episode closes on an ominous promise that James is not the only one waiting.
