EP.39 · Ahmad presses his aunt once more about the old photograph bearing his birth date. She repeats that a friend, now dead, left it with her as a trust, and he throws back her own words that the envelope should have been torn up before it tore them apart, demanding to know what she meant. Getting no answer, Ahmad turns to Mary and, admitting he has no right to say it, tells her he cannot keep silent any longer.
