EP.43 · Vivian calls Emily to her room, curious about her talks with her mother-in-law. She explains that her marriage to Dominic was a contract, and that his mother designed it to give Vivian equal power because she did not trust her son, which Dominic hated. Vivian then makes an offer: if Emily puts in a good word for her with the old woman, Vivian will send her far away from Dominic with enough money never to work again.
