EP.32 · Ben keeps begging, and Anne realizes he is the one who confronted Alex, her roommate, earlier that day; Ben says Alex got what he deserved for trying to take her away. Anne accuses Ben of leaving the blackmail package at her door, but he denies it. Suddenly Max turns up asking to talk, and Anne refuses to let him in. Max pleads that he cannot accept a transfer because he loves this city, but Anne says he should have thought of that before trying to get her fired.
